Marriage Moments will include questions and/or exercises to start conversations. They will provide an an opportunity to know yourself and your partner better. Check in with your LifeMate to see if this is a good time for them to answer these questions. If it is not a convenient time schedule a later time that would work for both of you. When you are the listener, show up with an interested and curious attitude. Be careful not to interrupt. After one of you has answered the questions, turn the tables and give the other partner their chance.
Have fun getting to know each other better!
“We need to remind ourselves that no loving action ever contradicts any of God’s commandments.” – Dr. David and Janet Congo
Discuss these questions together.
- If you are fortunate enough to have family close by, do you have couples in your circle of influence that live far away from their support system? Who are they?
- Is there anything that you could do as a couple or as individuals that might encourage them and help them to feel less alone? Could you give them a date night? Could you keep their children while they do some errands that they haven’t been able to do? Etc.
- If you are childless or a grandparent, have you noticed any young couples that don’t seem to have any family around? Is there anything that you could do to encourage them?
